The Carnival of Acireale, always the most beautiful of Sicily, is the most exciting event with the majestic allegorical-grotesque papier-mâché floats and with the unique in the world tank flower festival, a symbol of elegance and refinement. The event is presented again in August to involve a larger number of tourists. The main component of the carnival is represented by the crowd that lives it, free to explode joy and happiness along the baroque circuit.
The Feats of San Sebastianois the most anticipated religious event for inhabitants. It takes place January 20 in honor of the martyr patron of Acireale.
